Preservation-minded John and Pam (founders of CPW), have long worked to safeguard the vernacular island architecture. They hand built all buildings on the land they purchased in the late 70's employing construction techniques akin to those of the late 1800s, eliminating plywood and relying mainly on locally milled woods.
